Return to Training
Following the easing of the Stage 3 restrictions relating to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic from May 13, Football Victoria has completed Return to Training conditions for Victorian clubs.
These mandatory conditions have been built within the framework provided by Sport & Recreation Victoria (SRV), in correlation with the latest Government advice.
It is essential that all clubs review and implement these conditions before returning to training. They contain strict boundaries for the number of players/staff, types of activities, facility restrictions and safety measures required to safely conduct training.
For those clubs who are leaseholders at their training venues, we recommend that you seek clarification from the landlord (e.g. Council) regarding access to venues and any conditions they may have in relation to that access. Football Victoria continues to work with the Victorian Government, SRV and a range of Local Government Authorities to ensure that all clubs can return to their normal facilities as soon as possible.
The Return to Training conditions will be amended in accordance with any future government directives.
Football Victoria continues to work through a range of different options with regards to competition schedules and remains committed to working with all stakeholders to ensure competitive play can resume when further restrictions are lifted.
