Goals - S. Carter ('5), E. Bartolo ('20), E. Bartolo (' 32), S. Carter (' 58), S. Carter ('45), G. Padula ('89)(P

The first return bout of the season saw the Fawkner WS3 team travel to LaTrobe University on a wild and wet day.

With half the WS3 team out under COVID protocols, we welcomed WS4 players to the team and well done to all of you!!

The opposition was hell bent on blocking access to their goals but the WS3 team worked away and after constant attacks saw just rewards on six occasions.

Well done to Sheila Carter on a great hat trick - including an awesome free kick that floated into the top left hand corner to finish off the first half!!

Congratulations ladies on a great win and see you all next week!

Round 11 - Home game vs Pascoe Vale - kick off at 3:15pm

*** SENIOR MEN - RD 15 RESULTS ***

Goals:
Seniors - J. Buceto ('39), J. Siciliano ('87)

Reserves - G Chmayse, B Sajid

With the season on the line, the FSC Senior Men travelled to Langama Park to take on Sunbury United - who were also hunting for the 3 points.

The Reserves dominated the game but had to settle for a 2:2 draw with Sunbury converting the only 2 chances they had to equalise.

The Senior Men led 1:0 in a tough and close encounter before the last 15 minutes turned chaotic with Sunbury equalising in the 77th minute. Fawkner, however, kept pushing and went ahead 2:1 in the 87th minute before holding of the surging SUFC to finish on top.

The result sees the Senior Men move to 3rd place with a crucial game against league leaders, Westvale Olympic FC on Monday 4th of July at CB Smith Reserve.

Fawkner Soccer Club

Announcement.

Dear Members and ticket holders.

Due to a number of key staff at the club contracting Covid in the last week we have decided to postpone the Last Person Standing function.

We cannot afford to lose any more of our voulunteers and players as this could severely impact the clubs ability to run training and match days.

This is a risk we cannot take.

We will however run a virtual draw tomorrow that will be live streamed on FB 5pm for all those who would like to follow.

Winners will be notified by the club.

For those who have purchased tickets the social event will be rescheduled to a later date.

We thank you for your ongoing support of our club and appreciate your understanding.

Fawkner Soccer Club

youtu.be/MAk29zVp86M

Fawkner Soccer Club wants everyone to join in every week and support our Official and Volunteer Referees by saying THANKS REF!

We will post this week after week to get the message out that we need our referees now more than ever and its UP TO US to change the attitudes.

You may think this is overkill but the writing is on the wall and if someone doesn't start making changes then we will all suffer for years to come.

Every week from now on is REFEREE WEEK @Fawkner Soccer Club

Clubs, please join us and get your members to say THANKS REF! and quit the abuse.

If you see abuse or hear it then you should report it to you're club as its the kids that will suffer.

Totally get it that some people wont like what we are doing but its TIME to make a difference and our club is not innocent either.

Make sure you give the referees a drink and even offer them a snack and show them that yes we know you are human.

Little things can go a long way and the buck stops with the clubs.

We cant stress enough how important it is to change our players and parents attitude towards referees PLEASE....

Please SHARE and SPREAD THE WORD.

THANKS REF!
